Delivery Guide
Will If Fit?
Delivery and assembly is included in all our items. All our sofas are packed in wooden cases for cargo shipment to ensure safe transit. The wooden cases will be disassembled at our warehouse in Singapore on your delivery date. And our delivery partner will schedule a delivery slot with you.
While delivery is free for our items, please note that it is your responsibility to check that your items will fit through doors, staircases and lifts before you place your order. Product dimensions are included in the Product Information on our website.
For items that don’t fit though lifts, please note that we will charge an additional $10 per level for carrying up the sofa via staircase. And $250 for the use of a lorry crane. Editions is not able to provide refund for products that don’t fit for delivery.
Use the guide below to ensure your piece will fit in your space as well as through the doorways, hallways, stairways, and/or elevators it will have to pass through to get there.
We use wooden cases to protect all item(s) from damages during cargo shipment. The wooden case will be cracked and disposed at the warehouse in Singapore on the delivery date. Use the unboxed measurements when determining if a place will fit in an appointed room.
We list the length, depth, and height of all our pieces under the dimensions section of each product page. These are taken from the piece’s widest or tallest points. For instance, cushion overhang beyond the frame, the crown (highest point) on a fully fluffed seat cushion, and outward curves and angles are all included. Please note that our factory allows for a one-cm margin when measuring the size of your piece during inspection.
To allow for easier movement from the delivery truck to your home, large sectionals may be delivered in multiple pieces or boxes, then assembled on site. Please contact us to check if the product could be shipped in sectionals for the ease of delivery.

- Pathway
Consider the pathway the piece will need to travel from the street to the room where you wish to keep it.
Measure the items listed below along this path. As you go, factor in low or angled ceilings, banisters, tight corners, and low-hanging light fixtures that may impede movement.
Compare these measurements against the length, depth, and height of the piece (plus three inches to account for boxes) to ensure it will fit through each section of the pathway.
Measure the height and width of all entryways and hallways
Measure the clearance of each entryway. This is the distance from the outside wall through the doorway to the opposite wall. If it is shorter than the length of your piece, your piece will need to be entered on its side. Check that the height of the entryway exceeds the length of your piece in order to accommodate this.
Measure the interior width, depth, and height of all elevators to be used.
Measure the width and height of the elevator doors when open.
Sofas within 220cm length should fit in most lifts in Singapore, while sofas within 230 cm in length should pass through the staircase. We still recommend you to measure the dimensions to get the accurate data.
Damage During Delivery
On delivery, customer or 3rd party (whom are appointed by the customer for sign-off) shall inspect the item(s) and the surroundings carefully before our delivery team leaves the premise. Any damages detected should be reported immediately to the delivery team and be sure it is noted on the delivery order. Upon signing acceptance of the delivery order, it will be treated that conditions of goods and surroundings are within acceptance level of the consumers. Any discrepancies reported will not be accepted and Editions reserve the right to reject any claims that are incurred after delivery of your items.
You will also need to email us at help@editions.com.sg and provide a detailed description of fault and photos/videos showing the damages. We will aim to provide a response within 48. Please note that insufficient information on issue/defects may incur delays with us in providing a resolution.
Editions reserves the right in its absolute discretion to determine whether a part has failed due to a defect or wear and tear. Such replacement or repair is offered by Editions at its sole discretion. All replacement or repair of item(s) will depend on the next available schedule. Editions shall not be liable for any consequences (whether direct or indirect) of the delay in the delivery of the replacement item and no such delay shall entitle the customer to treat this agreement as being repudiated by Editions or to any comparison.
Delivery Restrictions
Some addresses have delivery restrictions. This is especially for condominiums, private apartments and offices located in the central business district (CBD). Please check with your building management if there are any delivery restrictions before confirming your delivery details with us, so that we can make the appropriate arrangements in advance.
Some common delivery restrictions include:
- Vehicular height limits
- Parking restrictions
- Cut-off time for deliveries
- Forms, deposits or lift padding required (note: our delivery team will not be able to assist with putting up lift padding)
You are required to place any deposit to the building management for moving goods into their premises if necessary.
Should your building management reject admittance of our delivery team, delivery will be rescheduled.
Change of Delivery Date
If you wish to change the date of delivery, please inform us at least 2 business days in advance. This means, if your delivery is on a Wednesday, you will need to write in before the end of Monday. Assuming there is no Public Holidays in between.
Free Storage
Editions will provide up to 1 month free storage from the estimated delivery date. After the 1 months' free storage period, storage charges will be at 5% of the item value per month.
